The ridge provides a stable base for dentures, but this may start to disappear or resorb over time. Without anything stable to grab onto, your dentures may become loose and ill-fitting.

Loose dentures are anything but pleasant. You may find it hard to eat or speak without worrying about them slipping off and leading to more embarrassment. What’s worse is loose dentures may put unnecessary pressure on your gums, accelerating bone loss and causing more discomfort.

Dental adhesives may provide temporary relief and comfort to ill-fitting dentures, but there may be a better solution. Among the many treatment we often recommend are mini implants for dentures. Effective for missing teeth and loose dentures, these offer long-term solutions that may go beyond standard restorations.

Mini implants are much like standard dental implants, except they differ in size. They secure dentures on the lower arch of the mouth, keeping them tight and stable on the gums. They also prevent other teeth from shifting or creating gaps, giving your smile a natural look.

Mini dental implants are less invasive than standard restorations, but are quite effective in difficult cases. We often recommend these if the patient has extensive bone loss or gum recession causing failed denture support. These may also be ideal for those who don’t have enough bone density required for a dental implant placement.

The procedure takes only a few hours to complete, and the recovery period is minimal. You may even leave the office with your new permanent dentures. These take away the inconvenience of wearing temporary restorations or waiting many months for results.

Convenience and improved appearance are among the many benefits you may get after the procedure. With mini dental implants, you don’t need to use dental adhesives to secure your dentures. You may also eat and speak more properly without any sense of awkwardness. What’s even better is you may show your best smile without feeling embarrassed.

If you’re interested to learn more about our mini dental implants, we’d be more than glad to provide a thorough explanation. <a

We’re very happy to say that through the years, our clinic has done just that. We offer a range of options, and provide patients will all the information they need so they may make well-informed decisions. One popular solution we offer is the Snap-On-Teeth.

Confident Smile for Less

Snap-On-Teeth are removable or detachable appliances. Part of the reason patients prefer them over fixed implants is they’re easier to clean. They’re also 20-30% less expensive than implants. The removable dentures may range from $7500 and $16,000 per jaw. This is a very solid solution and we have a lot of confidence in them. They’re great alternative while you’re still saving up for more permanent solutions, like All-On-Four.

Snap-On-Teeth versus Mini-Implants

Many patients ask about the difference between the Snap-On-Teeth and the Mini-Implants. Both offer effective replacements for missing teeth, especially when the patients suffer from massive bone loss on the jaw.

Mini-implants, however, are only used on the lower arch of the teeth. They may not work on the upper jaw, so if you’re missing some teeth in that part of your mouth, Snap-On-Teeth may work best. We want to make sure our patients get the best value-for-money service all the time.

Great-Looking Smile in Half the Time

We understand how much you value your time. Our Snap-On-Teeth will give you back your confidence to smile more often, faster than other dental clinics. This is something we do every day and we may deliver the results you require within the same day.

Our growing list of satisfied clients is all the proof you need about the quality and care we put into every treatment and procedure. Drop by our clinic or give us a call today for an appointment so you can be one step closer to regaining your confidence to smile.

Mini-Implants: The Less Expensive Alternative

Blog

dental implants

mini implants

→

As you grow older, enjoying the finer things in life, like eating becomes a chore. Your teeth are not as strong as they were in the past, and worst, you could be missing a few of them in important places. Dentures are okay, but because they’re not bonded to the jaw like regular teeth, they may easily go out of place and make eating a painful and annoying experience. Dental Implants provide much better support, but the cost may be prohibitive.

Patients look for better yet more affordable alternatives and found them in our mini-dental implants. Utilizing the technology behind dentures and dental implants, our mini-dental implants strike a perfect balance between the functionality of dentures and the stability of dental implants. With this wonder appliance, you may go back to sampling great tasting dishes and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

What Makes Mini-Dental Implants Effective?

Compared to dentures, our mini-dental implants offer better fit, thus improving both your bite and your facial structure. You may say goodbye to ill-fitting dentures that clank and snap out of place almost all the time. Of course, the fact that they’re much cheaper is an added yet welcome bonus.

Another thing that makes mini-dental implants effective is it takes less time to heal and recover from the treatment. This means lesser downtime. You may easily get back to doing things on a normal basis. No need to spend precious time away from school, work, or just about anything you love doing.

Finally, mini-dental implants are virtually pain-free. Contrary to what you may be thinking, all it takes is a quick injection of local anaesthesia or IV sedation, and voila! You will have your mini-implants in no time.

If all these sound good, it’s because it truly is. There’s no need to suffer longer than you should. Give us a call or drop by our clinic today so we can show you how it’s done. It’s time to get back to enjoying life and all it takes is to setup an appointment with us today.

Good Reasons to Smile More Often

Blog

dental implants

→

Many people today only smile when the photographer says “Say cheese!” or perhaps when they get a good number of “likes” on Facebook. Not all people know that smiling has many positive effects not only on a person’s emotional being, but also to their physical health. Here are some of physiological benefits associated with smiling more often.

Smiling is one good way to relax. When you’re in a relaxed state, your immune system functions better. As it reduces mental stress and muscle tension, you may keep your brain alert, as well.

If you notice, headache becomes worse whenever you frown. Smiling, on the other hand, brings some sort of relief. This is because smiling helps release endorphins, which are natural painkillers.

While there are fewer evidence on the physiological benefits of smiling, many experts claim that such simple gesture has positive effects on anxiety and depression. These two conditions have to do with imbalances in the body’s neurochemicals. It’s important to note that smiling is not a cure to this, but as studies suggest, it positively affects emotions. Smiling increases the production of serotonin, which creates positive effects on your mood. Anyone who feels stressed should smile more often to get rid of the depressing feeling.

Some studies also claim that intense smiling may also give a person longer life span. The study suggests that the Duchene smile, which uses both mouth and eye muscles, is significantly different from smiles that use only the mouth.

It’s sad to know that not everyone, especially the senior adults, smile often. One of the primary reasons behind this is the lack of good or perhaps missing teeth. Good thing there are new ways to replace missing teeth. Dental implants, for instance, provide tooth replacements that look and feel better.

If you find yourself hesitant to smile just because you have missing teeth, you should start thinking about getting implants.
→

Once a tooth is lost, many oral problems may arise. Teeth are meant to work together and if any of them are lost, your remaining teeth may be put at risk. You may experience more problems if you don’t replace them with permanent dentures. Some of these are gum problems, speech defect, and TMJ disorder. These may even have real and adverse effects on the quality of your life.

Your Jawbone Deteriorates

Your teeth help support the jawbone by applying pressure when you chew food. This keeps the bone cells from deteriorating. When your tooth root is absent, the bone cells begin to die off and the supporting bone in your jaw begins to dissolve.

If many or all of your teeth are missing, the entire jawbone deteriorates and dramatically affects your facial appearance. This makes you look much older than you really are.

Your Remaining Teeth Begin to Shift

Each tooth is important to the proper alignment of your bite. All your teeth support one another. When you neglect your missing teeth, your other teeth will begin to shift to available spaces. Food remnants may go into these spaces, increasing the chances of tooth decay and gum disease.

Your remaining teeth may start growing downwards or upwards, as they have nothing to chew against. This causes the bite to change and may even lead to TMJ problems including headaches and other discomfort.

Replacing missing teeth with mini-implants may save you from these troubles and improve your dental health. Extraction is also the last resort when you have broken or damaged tooth. Dentists will try to save them as much as possible to avoid gaps and misalignment. We may instead recommend crowns and bridges to fix your tooth.

<a

For most people, though, it’s a fearful experience. People with dental phobia avoid treatments despite experiencing problems. Phobias may be a result of a multitude of things. Some of these are the following:

Fear of Dental Tools

For some patients, the most daunting part of a dental visit is having sharp dental tools put into their mouths. Most patients find that checking out the dental tools before the procedure help them feel at ease.

Sensitive Gag Reflex

People with sensitive gag reflex may dislike the part where dentists insert tabs in the mouth for the dental X-ray. Dental offices nowadays offer panoramic X-rays to help those with fear of the dental equipment.

Fear of Loud Noises

Most dental tools are loud, and the noise may stir up fear in some patients. We recommend that these people wear earplugs or noise-canceling headphones to block out the drilling sound of dental equipment.

The Uncomfortable Dentist’s Chair

Some people may be uncomfortable with something as simple as lying back on the dentist’s chair. This may be a result of a bad back or some control problems. We help by putting them halfback so that they are in a more comfortable position. We may also provide positioning pillows for people who feel uncomfortable for being in a laid-back position.

The Solution: IV Sedation

As sleep dentistry requires an anesthesiologist and the proper facilities, we perform this procedure in our well-equipped dental office. With IV Sedation, you may experience a state of extreme relaxation. You won’t even realize the dental treatment is proceeding and often wake up with little to no memory of what happened.

Have peace of mind and enjoy relaxation from dental fears by knowing that our team is trained in advanced sedation dentistry. Our compassionate and experienced professionals will monitor your health during the procedure to ensure you’re comfortable and relaxed.

Schedule an appointment by filling out →

Through implant dentistry, permanent tooth loss is virtually a thing of the past. Despite this cure to missing teeth, many still choose to live with uncomfortable dentures or even a gaping space in their gums. The reason is mostly fear. Dental implants are not as scary or intimidating as most people think.

Other misconceptions keep people from undergoing this life-changing treatment. Here are some of the most common misconceptions and the truth behind them:

Implants take too long to prepare for, undergo, and heal.

Most implant procedures, when done right, don’t even require hospital stay. The key to a speedy recovery is following up with your dentist and following aftercare instructions to a T. Each patient is different, but most may eat normally in a few weeks’ time, or even less. If there are no complications, the procedure should be quick. We also make sure our pain management methods are well administered, so you won’t feel a thing.

Implants are not for the old and often fail.

You may get dental implants whether you’re eighteen or eighty. Latest technologies in bone grafting and dentistry make it possible for people of all ages (and bone densities) to undergo this procedure. The success rate of dental implants are so high, there’s only one to four in a hundred’s chance your body will reject them. We use bone friendly material that your jaw or gums won’t easily reject.

Implants have weak bite strength.

You won’t be chewing hard candies any time soon, but you don’t have to subsist on a solid diet either. While there’s still nothing compared to the bite strength of natural teeth, implants and abutments are your next options. They’re certainly better than dentures that may fall off, or having no teeth at all!

We offer affordable dental implants so you can have a beautiful smile—so why let fear and ignorance stand in your way? We go out of our way to make the process comfortable and simple for our patients. With our sedation techniques and fast treatment options, it’s like you didn’t get implants at all! Some of them have trouble smiling because of common dental problems, like tooth loss. You can treat these problems with treatments like all-on-four dental implants.

What are All-On-Four dental implants?

All-On-Four dental implants are ideal if your want a fixed restoration of your teeth in one day. This revolutionary technique allows you to receive full fixed bridges on just four dental implants.

Even if you’ve been told that you’re not a dental implant candidate before, you can still regain your smile with all-on-four dental implants. This technique can provide you with bridges even if you have severe bone less caused by periodontal disease.

How does All-On-Four dental implant work?

The All-On-Four benefits from the dense bone remaining in the front part of the jaws, by placing the two posterior implants on an angle. This is to avoid the sinus cavities in your upper jaw, and the nerve canal in your lower jaw. This eliminates the need for costly and time-consuming bone grafting. This reduces the discomfort and prolonged healing time that often goes with these procedures.

How are All-On-Four dental implants different from dentures?

Compared to dentures, All-On-Four dental implants are permanent set of teeth that look and feel natural. This means you don’t have to take them out and clean them, as you may just brush them like normal teeth. You also don’t have to worry about messy and sticky adhesives that are common in dentures.

All-On-Four dental implants don’t press down on your gums, saving you from pain. They also allow you to taste and eat hot and cold food, and bite with increased force.

How are All-On-Four dental implants different from traditional implants?

All-On-Four dental implants procedures use only four implants, compared to traditional implants that use five to eight implants in one arch. This is because their posterior implants are at an angle, allowing increased support by using the natural support of your bone.

Visit our office or call us at 888-469-3982 to learn more about All-On-Four dental implants.

Top Three Reasons to Go for IV Sedation

Blog

→

Admit it or not, visiting a dentist usually brings a sense of uneasiness. The smell of the clinic and the sound of drills may increase your anxiety; add to that the sight of syringes and dental tools. These things should not stop you from getting healthier and brighter smiles.

Good thing sedation methods, such as intravenous (IV) sedation, are now available from many dentists. In this type of sedation, the use of sedative drug is done intravenously. The drug will send you to a deep state of relaxation, yet you’re still conscious during the procedure and you can still respond to the dentist’s instructions. What makes it very helpful for anxious dental patients? Here are the reasons:

Leaves you more deeply sedated

IV sedation sends you into a more relaxed state. While you still know what’s going on, you will also be less mindful of the taste of medicines, the sound of the dental equipment, and many other elements around you. This makes IV sedation the perfect choice for patients with moderate to severe dental anxiousness.

Cuts out the need for numerous visits

The level of sedation is easy to adjust during the treatment. This allows the dentist to conduct long treatment, as you lay relaxed on the dental chair. This means a procedure that usually requires 6-8 visits may only require 1-2 visits. Treatments accomplished in a very short time not only cuts off the number of visits needed, but may also reduce the cost of doing so.

Allows fast results

As complex treatments may be completed in just a visit or two, you may get desired results in a shorter time. You don’t have to wait for weeks or months until your next schedule. This is the reason many dental professionals advise patients to take IV sedation, especially when undergoing complicated dental operations.

With the help of IV sedation, you will have more reasons to get treatment despite your dental fear. In fact, this could be the answer to your phobia.

Dr. Ron understands that fear is the number one factor patients are hesitant to get dental treatments. We offer IV sedation to give you healthier teeth and better smiles. Patients are always weary of the processes that come after treatment and often have many questions regarding post-operative care. While this is something we will discuss in detail after your procedure, we’ve put together some of the most important points to remember for future reference and for patients who want to learn more prior to undergoing the procedure.

First things first; recovery period varies according to case. It will depend on the number of teeth affected, the state of your oral health, and most importantly, how you manage the post-operative process. You can avoid unnecessary pain and the onset of any complications by making a conscious effort to observe the following:

Medication and Hygiene

Take pain relievers and antibiotics accordingly; do not take the prescription for granted and follow it to a tee. Finish the entire course of antibiotics – this is a point we cannot stress enough. Some patients think that one or two days’ worth of antibiotics is enough or that it’s okay to miss a couple of dosages, but it really isn’t. Antibiotics kill bacteria and keep it away; this fact only emphasizes just how important it is to finish the course. As for maintaining oral hygiene, avoid brushing the area with the dental implant and dressing. Make sure to keep the affected area clean and undisturbed.

Diet

It’s important to stick to a soft diet for two to three weeks following the procedure. Try to chew only with your natural teeth as much as possible, and avoid applying too much pressure on the new implant. Moreover, you should also refrain from eating spicy or acidic food items. Drink plenty of liquids, but stay away from hot beverages as these may lead to the dissolving of protective blood clots and encourage bleeding.

Other Things to Remember

More than the observance of a proper diet and maintenance, it is also important avoid excessive physical exertion during the recovery period. Engaging in sports or exhausting physical activity may cause bleedings around the dental implant. On a relevant note, patients should also avoid smoking or drinking any alcohol. These slow down the healing process and may affect the tissues around the implant.

Observe these and the other guidelines we will recommend after treatment for optimal post-operative care. Along with attending scheduled follow-up appointments, these will ensure that your implants heal and function properly. Don’t hesitate to ask questions after treatment to settle any lingering thoughts you may have.
